Large, 3-bedroom/2-bath completely handicap-accessible condominium in the heart of Washington DC. It is located on a safe, diverse, tree-lined residential street in an urban setting -- three blocks from a metro stop, and 4-5 blocks from restaurants, a large grocery store and other shopping.

Our condo is comprised of one entire floor (2300 sq. ft.) of a renovated Victorian mansion that has 7 total units, and includes an adjoining parking spot. The place is bright, with more than 2 dozen windows, and has a very open floor plan. Handicap access is through the back door via a 5-foot, private vertical lift from the driveway where our van is parked.

The entire unit is accessible to someone in a manual or powered wheelchair due to the open design, wide doorways and lack of floor thresholds, and lowered cabinets and light switches. One bathroom is handicap accessible with open-style shower, turning space, accessible sink, toilet/bidet and reinforced grab bars. There is an accessible office.

Other random features include cable, WIFI, central heat and air conditioning, 2 working gas fireplaces, washer-dryer, tankless water heater, expansive granite counter-tops, extra-deep soaking tub in second bathroom. And a sociable cat.
